Teaching

In private instruction we work to achieve the techinical skills to play difficult passages and the artistic mindset to create music that connects with others.  

My students are regularly accepted into principal and section positions in regional orchestras (Colburn Youth Orchestra, Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra, etc.), All-State and All-Southern Honor Groups, and YOLA's National Summer Festival. Students who choose to major in music have been accepted into such prestigious institutions as Eastman, the Manahattan School, San Francisco Conservatory, Peabody, USC's Thornton, and UCLA's Herb Alpert School of Music, all with significant merit scholarship awards.

As a program developer, I have co-created summer programs at the Colburn School and summer festival curriculum for the Idyllwild Summer Arts programs. My educational outreach programs that have been presented by top arts organiations, including The Music Center and the Pasadena Conservatory of Music.
